I was hoping that you would mention Matthew 28; 12 -16 The high priests tempted Judas to betray
Jesus so that they could lay hands on him and bind him. then they demanded his death. And when he arose in three days as he said he would, 'knowing then that he was indeed the Christ, bought a lie with gold paying the soldiers to say that his body was simply taken away by his disciples during the night.
and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

So what it all boils down to in the present day world, there are only three churches left. One honors God and Christ and one honors Satan. The other honors 'if’s and’s or buts and a grey area, that is neither hot nor cold but lukewarm.
Never heard the story of paying off with gold.
