Yesterday in Montana...

This was yesterday in Montana, today looks just as nice.

On another note, we made it through winter! We’re completely thawed out!!! We see all the campers starting to make their appearance.

Hey, we hope you folks are enjoying Spring, and we send God’s blessings in your direction.

how beautiful to live there. how long is your growing season? and are you planing on doing a garden?

The growing season is pretty short. There is a local community garden here and in the last few weeks people have started planting. This is our first spring here, and spring to me started on May 1.

Unfortunately, we won’t be planting anything, we’re still playing camper. Housing is absolutely insane right now, and especially in the region of Montana where we are. We simply refuse to pay these prices.

Get this, just the other day, someone listed their standard level home which is situated next to the RV park (summer busy) and a butcher (loud AC compressor) for $700,000.

We couldn’t believe it!

Then, a 50s style house not to be desired was listed for $490,000 in an old neighborhood, and next to the railroad tracks. :joy:

No Gwen, we’re not doing it, even if I live in the 5th wheel til I’m dead. We would love some property, but not at these prices. Shelter is the most basic thing people need, outside of food and water.

that’s really heart breaking. my daughter talked about the people coming up from new york city and going to montana, paying cash for property. of course they went to other places also, again paying cash for everything. you can grow some things in pots too. i know there are a lot of people on this site that grow fantastic things in pots and do very well.

Ohh I believe it!

People are also buying up these houses to rent as an AirBnB. We just counted several on the way home from playing pickleball.

There’s no doubt about it, there for some time we were pretty frustrated, but hey, you just have to roll with the punches life gives you. We just decided to save, play, and enjoy life!

I will say, our plan to settle down after traveling was going according to plan, until COVID and the bailouts, which inflated everything. :man_shrugging:
