Here are some of my thoughts:
In reading Revelation 6:13-17, it lists all the people from the great to the small, they would rather die than face what is going on. The Lord’s wrath. I would think these would be the Non-Christians.
If the believers, the ones who are sealed and know what is going on, I wouldn’t think this includes them. Revelation 9:4 says those sealed are not to be hurt.
The other thing we read in Daniel 11:21 is basically the Antichrist, horn, takes over peacefully with flatteries. (Could also play Santa Claus with riches for worship) He heals the deadly wound making things better. First half. Why would the people want to hide from this? He wouldn’t do anything at this point to have anyone want to kill themselves and hide. They even rejoice at the killing of the 2 witnesses and party.
To me, the end of Revelation 6 deals more with the arrival of Christ, the earthquake and split of Mt. Olives etc. (Zech 14:4)
Revelation 6:12 lines up with Matthew 24:29, which is immediately after the tribulation. All of the workings of the antichrist are over, and the Lord is arriving.
