Trump admin will pay illegals $1,000 to leave the country

This has got to be disappointing for the Americans who voted for mass deportations on Day 1. This move right here shows illegals that they have a “right” to be here, which they don’t. They broke the law by crossing the border.

I sure hope things start to turn around.

You’re right they broke the law by being here and anyone who did that should be deported. On the other hand if we look at it from a cost perspective, would giving $1000 to each person leaving be less of a cost than the man hours it takes to find all of the illegals and deport through that process? I’m not saying we should pay them, I’m just trying to think of it in that way instead, let me know what you think.

Hey AdamB!

It seems to be a political play, “look we’re trying to do something” without actually doing it. As I mentioned in my post above, by saying, ‘if you leave, we’ll give you $1,000,’ means you belong here.

Hey, if I woke up in the middle of the night and some dude was in my house, the last thing I’m going to do is offer him money to leave. Instead, I’ll be offering the chap hot lead.

You don’t justify criminality.

No one is going to leave for $1,000. They can make more from welfare in a month with a bunch of kids. Close the border, as in really close it, not political blabber and shut off the welfare programs for illegals, it’s that simple, but it’s always made complicated.

If you have a bird feeder on your porch and lots of bird droppings, get rid of the feeder, and you get rid of the problem.

Blessings!

It could be a political play, but it could also be taking a chance to save money overall. I agree that there hasn’t been mass deportations as promised, I was hoping there would be even though I didn’t vote. I’m taking the following from a different site:

Deporting a single person from the U.S. costs between $14,000 and $20,000. This includes arrest and apprehension ($10,000–$12,000), detention ($4,867), legal processing ($1,500–$2,000), and transportation (~$1,978).

So maybe the $1000 is a shot in the dark, but from a cost perspective (as I stated before) it makes more sense. The above costs are going to be paid for by the citizens anyway. Your comparison I believe is a bad one because it doesn’t factor in the same processes as deportation does.

Thanks Adam.

My point however, is that, without free benefits, people will self deport. This has been my contention since I started this website back in 2009. Thanks for the chat sir.

I agree with you completely.
