This AI Stuff Is Getting Out Of Hand... They're Scraping My Content!

I noticed the other day, chatgpt.com sent a visitor in my direction. Yes, one. Ohh, they weren’t really sending me any traffic. Instead, they were scraping my content to feed into their AI system. Their bot landed on my Jesus in the Talmud study.

This is what their system writes when you type, “what does the talmud say about Jesus”

No credit whatsoever, no citations of where they acquired the information.

I decided to pop over to Perplexity AI, another AI system and perform the same search.

This is what they had on the subject.

Hey, at least they cited my site as a source. However, this is an extremely disturbing trend. My daughter was hot, ticked! She said, they can’t do that, it’s plagiarism. She pulled up a Harvard website that talked about it, but there’s not much you can do.

What kind of world are we headed towards?

Soon, there will be no content writers, it’ll just be bots.

What a sad world in front of us.

How did you know they were doing it? Is there a notification?

I use a paid analytics tool to know what people read and don’t read. It tells you what article was viewed and if the view came from a search engine for example. So I saw one from chatgpt and that’s how you know.

I continually see more and more AI-generated content out there. It’s really wild, with tons and tons of images as well. I’m sure everyone is seeing the same thing.

This is what I figured would happen. AI is NOT a good thing at all. I’m sure there are many FB profiles that are AI bots as well. It’s truly disgusting on every level. I believe this is just the start, but it will keeping moving faster and faster. Yay for progress everyone! (kidding of course!!!)

Keeping tabs to see if we do our homework. :grinning:

No.

I can’t see what you personally view, nor do I want to see. However, I do want to see what my audience reads and what they don’t. It’s why certain things get cut out and I try other things. For anyone interested, this is what I use, privacy-focused analytics.

Most sites use the free Google one which tracks everything you do. It’s how they make their billions. :frowning:

What you do to set this up is over my head. There’s no tools or nails involved.

Yes, I knew they were doing this. It’s how they feed the data base and “teach” it with data they they insert. I’m thinking: flood the zone with truth anyway, over and over and over.
