The Bible paints a consistent—and often uncomfortable—picture of our leaders. Personally, we look to rulers hoping for righteousness, justice, and even a little common sense. We think, surely someone in power will finally do the right thing. Yet, Scripture shows a long history of leaders choosing rebellion rather than obedience. Whether in the…

In Scripture, we see a repeating theme where the “kings of the earth” oppose God and resist His Son—from ancient times, to the ministry of Jesus, and into the final events of this age.

Satan is the prince of this world, if you are not with Christ, you’re with Satan. And the more riches you have the more easy to forget The Lord. Like scripture says money is the root of all evil.
These kings forgot our Lord or even didn’t regard Christ, with all the money and power. They belongs in the Satan’s camp.
Then we receive damnation of them.
So pray The Lord, the more earnestly brothers and sisters.
I think it reflects the same situation as in the garden of Eden. Satan tempts and we think it will be even better, so we decide to take the temptation. Then we receive some sort of knowledge or something that strokes our ego and we think that we have received more than God provided. I think that it becomes a cycle of stroking the ego or having more earthly things then after a while we decide that God is not needed or appreciated. God is then pushed aside and Satan has taken over without even trying to hard. I see it with our current leaders. Look around at how so many people live their lives based on what our leaders say and do. It really does not make any sense, but here we are. I have never voted in my life and I get a lot of flack for it. God is going to use who ever and whatever he needs to in order to get his will done, always has and always will even if we do not understand or agree with his reasoning. Thanks for the article Brandon.
Its difficult living in the world with all the distractions and temptations and not slip into living BY the world’s ways. Thats why we must pray daily. Read scripture daily, and make every effort to live according God’s laws, statutes, and judgments, always remembering to put God first. Jesus is Lord of Lords and King of Kings and He will prevail. HALLELUJAH! Thank you Brother for all your Biblical insight. May God Bless you and your family
“Psalms 2 isn’t ancient history. It’s evening news”
Mic drop!
I feel the so-called leaders of today have an ivory tower, god complex. With all the money, power and butt kissing it’s all gone to their head. That’s why they stay in office into their 80’s and 90’s.
Who knows what really goes on behind the scenes but it sure isn’t what they tell us. Even if Satan is the puppet master, it’s all laughable because the true King of Kings rules over ALL and He will return one day to make everything right. As the years go by, I continue to put my trust in Him and do my best to serve His children through my individual calling. All I ever want is to hear, “Well done good and faithful servant”.
