We need more naming conventions. Part of the problem is modern day State of Israel =Israelis have coopted Judaism and conflated the word “Jew” to equate to the entirety of the House of Israel = Israelite. When we see the political quagmire going on in the middle east, it sort of takes on a whole new meaning of arguing “purity” of a specific race or tribe when the Hebrews were such the foundational people for the entirety of that area. In other words - the ideology of “anti-semitic” is ridiculous - most every native person in that area is a Semite or of Semitic decent. Ironically, Semite is a language/dialect - not a race. Just as those in Italy, Spain and England speak (and are) Italian, Spanish and English trying to claim inheritance based on a language is absurd. Mexicans for example speak Spanish, just as Americans speak English. ANd ironically, break it down even further, American is “assumed” to mean USA citizens, but discounts the whole of Canada, central America and ALL of South America. It is a weird tangent, but when you keep this concept in mind, it starts to declutter some of the misnaming we have in the world today when we speak of a “Jew” as originally being a member of the Tribe of Judah from the House of Israel, speaking Hebrew in the Semitic regions.
