Pro-Russian officials across 15% of Ukraine are requesting a referendum to join Russia. This is expected to occur within days.

We are talking about 15% of Ukraine joining Russia. This changes the ball game. If this goes through, an attack on that land is an attack on Russia. The West will have a tough time with this one.
