What is the difference between these 2 verses.? I always believed that in Revelation 12:3/Lucifer fell after he set up this kingdom which was the 1st earth age and Revelation 13:1 is in the present 2nd earth age. And this is when he as antichrist will sit up this second kingdom because of the difference of 7 crowns vs 10 crowns?
Welcome aboard William! You asked a good question. Brandon does a great job of laying things out in this lesson; it should clear things up for you.
After reviewing this again, a thought popped into my head:
Why would the Lord give all these markers and signs to look for during and through the Trib into Christ’s arrival, and even after the Millennium if the rapture were true?
It would be like sealing oneself with a Harvard Law Degree knowing your going to be a plumber.
True. If all of the saints are “raptured” out of here…who would be reading the Bible anyway? Especially Revelation.
For some reason many people do not notice the words “to show unto HIS SERVANTS”, “MUST shortly come to pass!”, “the TIME IS AT HAND!” in Rev,. 1:1-3, and also “and He SIGNIFIED IT!” Also, they either do not believe Matt. 24:3-34 “TRULY, truly I say unto you this generation shall not pas until all these things be FULFILLED!”, or they attempt to put these words into a dispensational teaching along with many other “doctrines of men and/or of “Devils” 1st Tim. 4;1. I believe 1st Cor. 2:14-16) explains this reason perfectly along with 2nd Thess. 2:9-12. It seems there are many who DO NOT believe “ALL POWER has been given unto me both In Heaven and on Earth!” (Matt. 28:18-20), so this error causes them to look for “The Antichrist” when actually according to Scripture “There are MANY!” (1st John 2:18) who DENY that Jesus Christ IS COME in the flesh” (2nd Cor. 13:5, 1st Cor. 12:27, 1st John 4:1-4, 2nd John 1:7). They DO NOT recognize many truths in the Scriptures as the TRUTH! There are so many false teachings (Matt. 10:16, Jude 1:4-25, Gen. 3:1, Matt. 13:38, 2nd Cor. 11:13-15) with “LEAVEN” Matt. 13:33, Gal. 5:9, Matt. 23:15, Jer. 8:8, Jeer. 5:31, Matt. 15:7-9), which a woman (Rev. 2:20, Rev. 17:5) took and HID in three measures (Rev. 16:13-14) of meal (John 6:63, John 6:35, John 8:31-32), which we are warned about in Matt. 13:33, “An ENEMY has done this!” (Matt. 13:28) and yet, people still choose to ignore the truth.

I made a few typing errors in the response to you last comment concerning Matt. 24:15, Dan. 9:24-27, and Matt. 24 29-31 below. 2nd Cor. 13:5, Rev. 21:1-6, 2nd Peter 3:8, Rev. 11:3-14, and perhaps a few more. My apologies.
I am not among those who believe in the preterist view.
There are flaws in that belief as to all the scripture being fulfilled. Some can be plugged into history, but doing so puts Matthew 24:34 in multiple time periods with different peoples to witness.
I am not a preterist either. That puts many things into a box which also could exclude John being their brother and companion IN TRIBULATION (Rev. 1:9) and “IN THE KINGDOM” (Rev. 1:9), and would mean that John is not their brother if they lived after the generation John lived. That view also has leaven in it. You are correct about Matt. 24:34 though, in that it does include multiple time periods with different peoples to witness. So does Rev. 1:1-3-22:21, and Rev. 11:3-14, Acts 1:8, and many other Scriptures! Who do you think is saying “COME!” (Rev. 22:17) at this very moment to you, and who also has been saying these same words for several hundreds of years? Have you taken part in the first resurrection? (Rev. 20:6, Gal. 2:20-21). Do you still have any at all of those things at all such as fear or unbelief, etc., that would cause you to still have “part in the lake of fire”? (Rev. 21:8, 1st John 1:8, Romans 1:18, 24).
That last comment was supposed to end with Romans 7:18, 24 and not Romans 1:18, 24. Though perhaps I should have included Romans 1:18-32 in the last response?
What specifically do you think Christ is saying in Matthew 24:34?
He is talking about the generation of the fig tree and that generation will not pass till all things are fulfilled.
Yes, but whose generation?
What generation is the generation of the fig tree? “Now LEARN a Parable of the Fig Tree…even AT THE DOORS! ,THIS generation shall not pass until all things be FULFILLED!” (Matt. 24:32-34) “BEHOLD! I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK…!” (Rev. 3:20, 1:1-3, 1st Cor. 2:14-16, Matt. 13:10-11, Matt. 13:34). I could right now repeat these words! “THIS GENERATION!” Rev. 1:1-3, Isaiah 55:11, Amos 3:7, 1st Thess. 5:1.
The point is, you will either be consumed or purified (Dan. 11:33-35) in and by the lake of fire at the last trump. It is appointed once for a man to die. Some have already been crucified with Christ (Gal. 2:20-21) and have passed from death unto life (Romans 6:3-10), and the second death has no power over them. (Rev. 20:6, John 11:25-26).
So, what do you think Christ is saying in Matt 24:34? What does He mean by generation?
I believe He is saying that the end of the age or generation, or “world” (Matt. 24:3) will come at the “Last trump” when “there shall be time no longer” (Rev. 10:6) in every generation, and when the “dust returns to dust” (Gen. 3:19, Luke 23:46, Acts 7:59, Numbers 16:22, Eccl. 12:7), including “This Generation” or age, or world we live in, when we all breathe our last breath in this body of sin, and we enter into our eternal destinies.
.
And I believe this will all happen in “THE DAYS OF THE SON OF MAN” (Luke 17:26-30, Matt. 24:37-41, 2nd Cor. 13:5, 1st Cor. 12:27, Acts 2:16-17, Joel 2:1-2-9-32, 2nd Peter 3:8, 1st John 4:1-4, 2nd John 1:7, Proverbs 2:21-22, Matt. 5:5, Psalms 24:1, 2nd Thess. 2:9-12, “for THE TIME IS AT HAND!” Rev. 1:1-3).
Jesus Christ was speaking to that Generation as well as ours, and every generation in between. The words “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that HEAR (Matt. 13:10-11) the words of this prophesy, and KEEP (1st Cor. 15:1-2) those things which are written therein, for the time is at hand.” Must apply to all who “read”, and “Hear”, and “Keep” in every generation, as well as “to show unto HIS SERVANTS” (Isaiah 55:11, Amos 3:7, 1st Thess. 5:1, 1st Cor. 2:14-16, 2nd Thess. 2:5, Hebrews 1;1-2, 2:1-3, John 8:31-32) and “MUST SHORTLY come to pass” (Rev. 1:1-3) for these words to be true for all of His servants who hear, read and keep the words written therein in every generation!
You are painting with a broader brush then what I believe to be true. Each verse has to be used in the context of who, what, why and when it was written, they are not all inclusive to the same subject or time frame.
We will just have to agree to disagree.
