Proverbs 8:30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
Hi, I’m doubting if this mean we were with God before everything in our spiritual bodies, our if it is referring to “wisdom”?
In the verse 8:31 it talks about he was rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth.

To me,
Verses 1-12 is wisdom talking in the 3rd person.
Verses 13-21 are a mix of wisdom and Christ.
Verses 22 to the end are Christ talking, referencing the Lord, HIs Father and ours. Verses 31-32 shows He is addressing us. (John 1)
I think as you till verse 22. From there and forward I can’t even fathom it! But I think you have it right.

The way I look at it is, we, our souls, were put into a flesh body, just as Christ was. It is just a vehicle to get around. Some have a more custom finish. 
The souls were around longer than the flesh. Part of the excitement is knowing someday we will learn all the fine details that Paul talked about. As you say, it is hard to fathom and wrap your head around it.
I’m sure it’ll be pure joy.
