Name: Troublemaker
Question: First mistake you make is saying this: The earth is our forever home.
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.Second mistake was your use of “nations”. Kingdoms are countries. Nations are nationalities.
G1484 Probably from G1486; a race (as of the same habit), that is, a tribe; specifically a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually by implication pagan): - Gentile, heathen, nation, people.
Answer: Folks, these are the type of “Christians” I never want you to be like. Not even remotely. I received this email from someone named “Troublemaker,” and the chap left a fake email address. If you’re going to criticized someone, at least have the brass to leave an email address.
Honestly, I don’t even know why these people read. They just want to bicker and be mad about something, it doesn’t matter what it is. Bitter bitter people, don’t be like them.
I knew when I said, “earth is our forever home,” someone might scoff. It just shows how Biblically illiterate members of our faith have become. The earth is in fact, our forever home. It’s not going away. Jesus is coming here, and at the end of the Millennium, the Father is coming here.
So it’s our forever home.
Now, what about Revelation 21:1?
Let’s talk about it…
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Now, crack open your Strong’s Concordance like the troublemaker did, and let’s see what it says…
The word “new” means,
Of uncertain affinity; new (especially in freshness; while G3501 is properly so with respect to age ): - new.
We’re going to have a new age, and earth will be refreshed, it will be rejuvenated. I mean, why on earth would God destroy His creation, just to create it all over again?
Now, let’s look and see what the word “first” means…
Contracted superlative of G4253; foremost (in time, place, order or importance): - before, beginning, best, chief (-est), first (of all), former.
So it’s not the “first heaven” and “first earth,” it’s the “former heaven” and “former earth” that we’re talking about. God’s going to renew them when He appears on earth. I mean think about it people, after the Tribulation, Jesus shows up, here on earth.
We’re all going to be here.
We’re not leaving, so how can the earth be destroyed, and recreated again, when we’re on it?
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Just two verses after the one the troublemaker left us with, we see God descending to earth to live with us, forever, here on our forever home.
All of that fits right in with this verse…
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
The earth will be renewed, and all the rotten things and rotten people will be cast into the Lake of Fire. Don’t be a rotten person folks, stand by Jesus, and uplift your brothers.
Ohh, I’m not even going to address “nations” bit, I’m not going to play semantics with people.
Blessings!
