Good article and great reminder. I didn’t see this like this until a couple of years ago. I’m blessed to really see the “world” for what it is and who it is. I have fallen in this trap, in the past…by the grace of God, I never will again. I learned the hard way how deceitful your heart can be. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
The Holy Spirit put this other verse on my heart this summer; to me it’s my anchor verse -if I do this everything else falls into place: Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
