The Bible instructs us to honor our father and mother. If we go against their best wishes, then we are not honoring them, we are dishonoring them, and we are dishonoring our Heavenly Father’s request.

Everyone not rooted in The Word will not understand this. But it can not be clearer, it is so. You have to understand what God says and respect it. You will love longer and happier. For sure. The Creator says something, do it. Although you can’t comprehend it. You will do fine
