Hi I’m reading leviticus 19:27 it says not to trim your beard in a special fashion (the corners of thy beard).
I can’t find meaningful information about to have our not to have a beard.
I dislike having a beard and find it annoying.
The verse in itself doesn’t say not to have a beard, just that if your have one, not to trim it in special fashion.
Can you help me please?

They way I understand it, this was done by the heathen nations to honor their gods and it was part of superstition not to do it. I think the idolatrous priests did it. Some of the other things listed in that chapter were other practices that the heathen did.
I believe they would have been introduced to this in Egypt and the Lord didn’t want it carried over after the Exodus.
