Freezing your Burger

We buy our burger in bulk. A simple trick for thawing in out we ready to use is to break it down into 1# sections, put in freezer bag and then roll it flat and square. Push the air out and seal. It stacks in the freezer better and it thaws out in no time compared to the store 1# shape it comes it.

Just wanted to share.

I thought this was a great share.

Mom did this when we were kids. People have come over and see the meat in the bag like that and said, man that’s genius!

We need more ideas like this to keep popping up. I’m sure there’s a million of them that we’re missing out on.

Not sure where we saw that idea. When we did, we thought why didn’t we think of it.

This is something that I haven’t had to do in a long while. And depending on what I had for supplies depended on how many layers I wrapped it up in, and how I did the portions. Still way easier to pull out and defrost. Sometimes I seasoned the first.
Did this with my steaks and chicken too when I could.
Help give ya more room in the freezer as well and the meats are well wrapped and protected.

I never thought of doing the season too. Will have to give that a try.
