Europe: Christianity declined 13% in 10 years

Troubling note on Christianity in the UK…

The article is about Satanism, and younger generations moving in that direction. The numbers are extremely small, it’s a PR stunt, but this bit was interesting.

…46.2 per cent of the population (27.5 million people) described themselves as “Christian” in 2021, marking a 13.1 percentage point decrease from 59.3 per cent (33.3 million people) in 2011.

In the UK, Christianity declined over 13% in 10 years. In another 10 years, 30% of the population will be Christian, if the UK is lucky. Of that bunch, how many have a meaningful faith? Interesting yet troubling time to be alive.

That is the actual real sad number. Today, Christianity is a bumper sticker. To me, people view the term as not being something else, so they must be Christian.
