Full article at: America’s In Catastrophic Decline | World Events and the Bible
The signs are all around us… America is in catastrophic decline. No, it didn’t just suddenly happen, this has been a slow-moving disaster for decades. As a people, we became too lax, we got used to living “high off the hog.” So we allowed some of our morality to go by the wayside. It was…
If all the foreign workers were removed, the production here would be like when they locked us down during Covid. The imported goods (which we should be producing here) would be laying on the docks since the truck drivers, minority % on the rise, couldn’t handle the volume.
What would the trades look like? Most of the trades, the white demographics are decreasing. This is not a racial statement. It just shows that the white man is becoming more and more lazy.
Those that are still in the trade, the quality has become mediocre at best. They either don’t know what they are doing or don’t care, and the output is slow.
After we fired our contractor, finding a good tradesman was very hard and they were 6-8 months out with work. (The rule of thumb is if you can get one to your job in 2 weeks, you don’t want him. Being in the trades, I know what they mean)
The 2 good GC’s I did find were over a year out and couldn’t give a definite date since they never knew if the workforce would always show up.
One GC that did great work, retired due to health reasons and his son took over the company. Within a year or so, the quality fell along with the reputation and the father is debating coming out of retirement to save it. (Fine example of the younger generation taking a golden gift and tarnishing it)
My brother works in the apple business, upstate New York. He runs the warehouse and docks.
To get the fruit picked and the orchards taken care of yearly, they must bring in foreigners to do the work, all paid by the employer.
They fly them in from Central America, (government approved) they built bunk houses sleeping 12-18 for their stay, pay for all their health care at the local clinic, provide all their ground transportation, and all other necessities other than food. They receive a raise yearly and start around $18.
God help those 20 years from now when they need something done.
What people do not understand is how the monster feeds off itself. Ive been in construction all my life. In 1981 a 1st year journeyman carpenter made $17hr in my hometown. Over the next 10 years that rate dropped to $14. By 2010 it had eaked back to $20 and is now at $25.
In the early 80s we experienced the early impact of illegals. They were working for $5-7hr cash. It became desireable to use them. As the desire imcreased, the numbers increased until by the mid 90’s they were 50% of the labor force in the south. The trend grew until it is what it is today.
Now here’s the thing. As this trend to replace the talent at a cheaper rate grew, the pay rates began to drop until those jobs became completely undesireable. I mean, who wants to bust their butt in 100 degree weather all day when they can go to work in McDonalds with AC for the same or more? Most construction workers start as a laborer($10 to 12hr avg).
Many GC’s tried to upgold America and values but couldnt compete with the FC’s using illegal labor. Why? Because cheap homeowners and business’ wanted cheap prices and went with the low bidders. They could care less about their country, values, and even quality. How many times I hear homeowners complain about quality only to find out who built there house and the labor used.
Here is a thought. There are still quality builders with very talented workers. They specialize. They are expensive. They dont build homes with the cheap $120 entry latches you get at Depot. They only use quality latches which cost $400. But they last. They dont run trrim with mdf(cheap pressed paper molding. They only use real wood and the cope the mitered joints(no cracks 5yrs later). The same goes for all the Walmart crap and othe chinese junk people(we as in us) use.
Here you go, same as Brandon said: WE ARE OUR OWN WORST ENEMY. We nurtured this. We sold out for it. We created the monster. We built the beast. It isnt an us or them problem. It is our problem. We all created it. We all developed it. We will all pay the price for it.
Amen & Amen Brother. I’m 63, barely a baby boomer and have said for years now that my parents and my generations are responsible for the debauchery and hedonism happening today. Romans 1:29-32 you quoted are God’s words never to be uttered in our houses of gathering anymore. I can’t really call them houses of worship because I feel God has left the building. The generations I mentioned were and are spoiled, including myself, too weak to hear truth. " 2 Timothy 4:3-4 **For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
Not only will we not endure sound doctrine if we happen upon it, but it’s nearly impossible to find coming from the pulpits of today.
I was talking with my Lord just a few days ago and a thought came into my mind, as America and the west has declined, what would today look like if Jesus had said, nope, not gonna do it. They aren’t worth it, I’ll create us new people. Where would we be?
I think we should take a deep breath and chill! Trust in God and do your best to live as he wants us to. He sent us a Savior so that we can repent and change our ways. We should thank God that this fight will only go two rounds ( the first Earth Age and this one) Do your best to remain standing for the next and final age.
This issue of migrant workers goes back before I was 10 years old in 1960. Migrants worked in the the canning factories because about the only whites out in the fields and on the factory floors were us “dumb” farm boys and girls. No one else would stick beyond their first check.
You are totally correct. The very talented in my area, old timers, are getting out since the dedicated workforce isn’t there. Quality materials are harder to find too.
One thing I have seen many times in people over the years, they want to earn $50 per hour but still try to find the $5 haircut.
True. I was one of those “dumb” farm girl field workers. We even filled in (for half price) when our neighbor’s migrant workers refused to work for low wages, and crappy conditions. Hard work.
Now I believe we can go back further yet to see when this trend happened. When @woody72 mentioned “dumb” farm boys and girls. Society at the time would look down on people that were farmers. They were considered low class and poor. My mom spoke about that as well (she was raised on a farm). In fact, many thought that anyone baking their own bread were low lives that couldn’t afford to buy a loaf of bread. Now think about that…it was the start of the whole food industry. So just like jobs…your character is judged by the job you do. Think about how grandioso it was to live in a “white collar” family. Someone that didn’t have to get their hands dirty. Society calls this progress! You can buy all your food from manufacturers…and guess what…they can also put whatever they want in your food. Oh, but no worries, they have the FDA!! What a joke!
So really, if you go back and take a look at history; compare industries to society…as industry grew, society lost their values. Gradually they slowly took away more and more so society would become dependent on them. Take a good hard look and once you see it, you can’t unsee it and you find more and more of what our so called “progress” has done. Progress would be fine if the industries would keep God in their decisions, but they don’t.
I used food as an example, but you can say the same thing in construction, the trades, healthcare, engineering, social media…all of it. Even down to how you wash your dishes! Decline of society. Just as it’s written in God’s Word!
Note: Am I freaked out about all of this? No…it’s written and I know God is in control. I know God will lead me to learn the skills I need to pass down to others so others can survive the eventual downfall of not only our nation, but the world.
I was raised on a farm, and we were called duffers. I think all the youth should have to experience the farm work, maybe they would appreciate the Tesla daddy bought.
You know…Pat once told me years ago that marketing was the downfall of America and I didn’t really believe it. I worked with a lot of marketing people at the time. Now I see that Pat was right. “It’s so cool to have a Tesla!” (barf) The marketing is just another way to brainwash people. And talk about gathering information on people…that is what marketing IS! Find people’s weaknesses and promote your item to improve their lives. That’s what marketers are taught in college. And to top that off…all these marketers in the world are continually “testing the market”. And then all that information goes to the beast - continually feeding it.
Just like the cloud, another file cabinet for the beast.
I agree with the comments on here about how we have been our own worst enemies by choosing cheap illegal workers for so many years and becoming too lazy to do the work we deemed beneath us. This is, however, only a part of why America is in a catastrophic decline. The full picture is complex and consists of many threads of failures due to Americans putting temporal pursuits and worldly greed ahead of the eternal precepts of God. Think about it. From the very beginning instead of sharing the land fairly with the native Americans the early Americans chose to take the land and commit genocide. While constantly reneging on land treaties they forced the native Americans to relocate to less desirable locations. Not wanting to do the manual labor to build this nation they chose to steal people from their families while deeming them less than human to justify lynching, raping, and subjecting them to the harshest labor conditions imaginable. However, some Americans felt convicted enough to speak out against slavery, and though it took a civil war to end slavery, the practice was eventually banned. Still, as we all know, slavery only morphed into other forms such as Jim Crow and today is seen in our unequal justice system that frequently targets black Americans who get harsher sentences even though their drug use and crimes are done at the same rate as white Americans. Christians were the ones who pushed against slavery even though many of them still believed blacks to be inferior. Most wanted the slaves to be sent back to Africa and not integrated into American society. However, after realizing the impact this would have on access to cheap labor, our government chose to come up with sham vagrancy laws so that they could recoup the free labor that the slave owners lost when slavery was abolished. Abraham Lincoln’s promise to give the freed slaves land for homesteading was given back to the slave owners which left 4 million black Americans homeless and defenseless. Hundreds of thousands were abused, lynched, beaten, and forced to participate in share cropping for pennies or face brutality and prison. Tens of thousands of letters were sent to Congress during this period from black families asking for help to find loved ones who had been kidnapped or were missing. These letters can be found in government archives today. The book “The Color of Law” chronicles the practices of the US government and real estate developers in the earlier part of the 20th century that led to the development of ghettos, racially restricted housing, and policies denying black veterans’ benefits after WWII. These policies and practices were the catalysts that sparked the civil rights movement. Today, we live in what is termed a “racialized society”. This secular phenomenon negatively influences many Christians today because most have a hard time separating themselves from the world. It is defined as a society that has undergone strong racialization, where perceived race matters profoundly for life experiences, opportunities, and interpersonal relationships. High profile people like politicians now regularly use race to manipulate the masses and pit groups against each other instead of bringing people together. So, as you can see by what I mentioned above these “threads” spreads into many areas and what I have mentioned is only the tip of the iceberg. Because we are now well into the information age, we have access to extensive research and thousands of books written by current historians, professors, and others regarding the development of Christianity in America, race relations, etc. that help us to understand the vast and complex reasons why America is on its current trajectory. However, I have found the most succinct source to be the bible. America’s decline can be narrowed down to its people not putting God first and the way they have treated others since this country’s founding. God’s Word clearly tells us that the “sons” are responsible for making restitution for the sins of the “fathers.” Amends should have been made a long time ago to the native Americans and black Americans who suffered during the founding of this country, but every generation after chose to not make things right like the bible tells us to. I believe it is too late for America because the “church” has pretty much fallen away, so we are long past the point of no return. Sodom and Gomorrah cheated foreigners, allowed greed to dictate their actions, made dishonest laws, among other things. Many think that sexual sin was their downfall but that is not what the story of Sodom and Gomorrah really teaches us. Sexual sin is a sign that God has already condemned a city or nation for destruction. The scriptures say that God “turned them over” to their sexual lusts and sins, which means when a nation becomes no longer worth saving, His grace ends, and He allows them to follow their own lusts because destruction will soon follow. America has had centuries to makes things right and each generation has passed up the opportunity, claiming they didn’t have anything to do with what the forefathers did. Now, America is the leading producer of child pornography, which feeds global human trafficking. Seems to me that Americans have been turned over to their lusts like the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. Think about it. Why is it that the most powerful nation in the history of mankind doesn’t even have a mention in bible prophecy?
Oh! Yes Brandon may God have mercy on us, rebellious people that are lost in the road of perdition, it was much better that the Americas had remained as they were before the progress, as progress has gotten us far away from God and even abandon him…too bad that people are so divided starting with christians creating so many denominational groups when the body of Christ is one, satan surely did a great job in dividing the body of our Christ to weaken it, so he could advance his plan in beguiling wholly the church of our Christ as he beguiled wholly the 12 tribes in the old testament…
The church is not better today changing the way of worship and using modern translations of the Bible and preaching much differently then when there was the great revival of the gospel. How could christianity lose the essense of life itself, the real true vital essense God and Jesus our Savior…how could they not regnize those of the Synagogue of Satan infiltrating themelves in the church?
I find it very hard Brandon living in today’s generation, I do not know about you and all your readers as well, we need a big revival in the church of Jesus who died on calvary cross the set us free from the captivity and bondage in sin Satan held us in…how sad it is to reach such a point that even Jesus says in Luke 18 but when the son of man shall return, will he find faith on earth?
This is a question that is daily in my heart and I am working at it with all my stregth…I want Jesus to find me waiting for him and serving him as he is worthy of being honored, revered, served, worshipped in every situation with all my life and my heart and soul…I suffer daily in being in these times of evil that covers the earth and abounds each day but I also know that Jesus grace and mercy will surabound soon as he knows what is falling on us and he is still in absolute control of all his creation especially this earth which is his kingdom
Come Lord Jesus come this generation needs you because it is in total spiritual and physical darkness as it was in Genesis 1: 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Heavenly Father God, we know that your Spirit moves upon the face of this earth which is your kingdom and soon we will see your Light shine, your glory fill the earth and all knees bow to your feet and proclaim you King of kings and Lord of lords on all those that today declare themselves to be kings, lords and princes of your earth which they
have stolen from you by your will, with force, abuse and violence for your redemption plan you willed even before Genesis 1:1
Amen
May your kingdom come snd your will be done eternally on earth as it is in heaven…amen, amen, amen
