That has just got to be so heartbreaking listening to these stories. Those poor people - I pray they can find their way somehow. What a sad sad situation. I imagine they had insurance, but what will that really cover?
You know how some insurances work. If the loss is due to a flood and you donāt have the rider that specifically covers that, youāre out of luck.
The gentleman that is doing the seeding of our yard had his garage demolished by trees falling on it. He required 2 quotes to rebuild it, and his appraiser offered him 1/2. Even when you are covered, it is a battle for some.
HIs agent is trying hard for him. He said many of the appraisers are quitting because they are overwhelmed??
Talked to a friend of mine who came north from Florida to visit family in the Tenn. area. He was in awe of the damage he has seen in his travels.
He ran into some people from a charity group with some loads of supplies for the flood victims. He said FEMA tried to push them aside, confiscate the supplies so they could hand them out.
The Appalachian people vs FEMA, who do you think won?
Yepā¦insurance is just wonderful. We have a lot of people with roof damage die to hail. Many insurance companies are pulling the same bull.
I got to thinking today about the irony of FEMA, basically government.
They canāt seem to handle getting people out of their tents after a disaster but donāt seem to be short on funds putting people in tents overseas.
Just sickā¦itās all money launderingā¦
Iāve been to some of these places and when the guy said where do you start, it is exactly that. There are still places that cannot even be reached by normal vehicle.
17.9 billion to Israel for war.
106 billion + to Ukraine for war.
Billions of dollars to dozens of other countries.
As of October 2024, it costs $82 billion to maintain the debt, which is 14% of the total federal spending in fiscal year 2025.
I hope they get global warming under control, that way the grandkids of today can at least have an acceptable climate to work off those dollars.
I donāt see this from one side of the isle.
